“There will always be demand for IPAs, just really hop-forward beers, but there is also a demand for lower ABV, so came from trying to meet that expectation that people want something full and satisfying and flavorful, but without the 7% ABV.” “What we found is that with the combination of that really full-flavor, creamy mouth feel, juicy hop character, and that low ABV, people seem to like it particularly in the summer,” says Scott Jennings, innovation brewmaster at Sierra Nevada.

Replacing the brewery’s former summer seasonal, a Czech style lager called Summerfest, Summer Break filled a customer need. What could be better during the hot months of summer than a sessionable hazy IPA? Hold only at the base where the wax has not melted. Do not touch the part of the can were the flame is burning as it can be hot. *Be very careful moving your can while lit. It also helps to avoid that black stain on the inside of the can. This is especially important to avoid ruining cans with plastic or sticker labels as you do not want the flames melting these things. *Don't forget to trim your wick tips to about 1/4" so they don't flop over.
